32 scientists (17 National and 15 International) and 30 student trainees participated in the third U.S.-India Joint Research Training Workshop. Scientists gave presentations on their research and worked in small groups with trainees to develop a research proposal. Trainees also presented posters of their work. Overall, the workshop was a resounding success as indicated by the following quotes from a variety of stakeholders. “The conference was fantastic. I was delighted and enthused to be associated with world renowned experts from my field of interest.” - Postdoctoral trainee “In this workshop I learned many many things regarding my research and I am really impressed by the way the workshop was organised. Everything was absolutely fine.” - Graduate Student trainee “It was my great pleasure to attend the Hyderabad GID meeting. I thank you for inviting me to present my work. I had wonderful interactions with the foreign faculty, and with several scientists from India. I also want to congratulate you for organising the best meeting that I have attended since coming to India in 2002.” - Special invited faculty member from India “Congratulations on organizing such a grand show, [my student] briefly came in to the lab and was totally delighted with the experience.
